A heartbreaking accident on Karsaz Road, Karachi August 20, 2024, Results the loss of two lives and seriously injured the other five.
The Accident
Natasha Iqbal spouse of Danish Iqbal was driving a Toyota Land Cruiser at high speed and lost her control which resulted she hit a bike rider Named Imran Arif age 62 and his Daughter Amina age 23, both father and daughter died on the spot. Then the Vehicle turned onto the service road hit a parked Honda City, and seriously injured the other five people. According to eyewitnesses, Natasha tried to escape from the spot but eventually, her Vehicle overturned and she crashed into a parked car.
Soon after the incident she was taken into custody by police and Rangers and shifted to Bahadurabad Police station.
Physical Remand.
The Local Court of Karachi has sent Natasha on a one-day physical remand after the investigation.
Driving Licience Claims.
While Investigating it was revealed that the suspect did not own a driving license. While her family claimed that she owned a foreign license. But it was not acceptable in Pakistan.
Mental health Claims.
The case faced strong opposition because of Natasha’s Social and Economic Status. Her Lawyer said that Natasha is mentally ill and under treatment for 5 years. He also said that She left the home without informing anyone and took his car in a confused state of mind. Natasha’s husband said that she is taking medication for mental stress. But According to eyewitnesses She is drunk. It is revealed that Natasha holds multiple positions at different companies, chief executive of two companies one is Metro Capital Limited and the second is SDN Limited, and director of seven other companies named as Swift storage and Service Limited, Gul Ahmad Bio Film Limited, Gul Ahmad CBNC Company, Metro power company limited, Iqbal Metro Solar power Limited, Metro Property Network Limited, and Metro Storage and Services Limited. So how his lawyer said that she is Mentally ill and under treatment for 5 years. It does not make sense for a person with severe mental illness issues to hold multiple positions at different companies at the same time. It’s only for Saving Natasha Iqbal by using the legal loopholes.
Reports of Unequal Treatment.
According to the sources ‘DAILY AUSAF’, it was revealed that she spent Monday night at home instead of the Cell. This unequal treatment invoked public outrage, and they are calling for equal rights and treatment under the law, regardless of Natasha’s social and Economic Status.
